Delta Health is a 49-bed, publicly owned hospital whose major goal is the comfort and care of their patients. The hospital provides general medical and surgical care for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients, and participates in Medicare and Medicaid programs. Emergency room services are available on a 24-hour per day, seven-day per week basis.
In 1975, the Delta County Memorial Hospital District was formed and a new hospital was built. They have continued to grow and expand their facilities and services. In 2004 the construction of the new Delta Health hospital was completed. In 2007 they opened a cancer center, and in 2008 a portion of the building was completed to house the rheumatology services.
Since 2012 Delta Health has grown into a hospital system with nine clinics including primary care, oncology, rheumatology, and home health services. And, for the last three years the hospital has been names as one of the Top 100 Rural Hospitals in the nation.
